Carondelet House Wedding

Drue and Huck’s wedding at the Carondelet House wedding in downtown Los Angeles was elegant and classy with a Hollywood rustic charm. The day went by smoothly and their photos turned out magnificently, a clear sign that these two are simply meant for one another forever!

The Ellen Degeneres Show is what initially brought these two lovebirds together. Huck worked as an assistant director, and Drue was a talent executive. After first meeting, Drue and Huck developed a friendship that quickly transformed into something more. Their relationship eventually blossomed into something that neither of them could deny—they both knew it was time to take the next step into marriage.

Hollywood Wedding

The Carondelet House is one of the most unique venues in all of Los Angeles.  It vintage Hollywood charm does not fall short. This historical building from the 1920’s was once home to one of LA’s most dignified architects. In the present day, its rich Italian history shines through with its unique and creative design features. From the exposed wooden ceiling beams, to the crystal chandeliers and beautiful skylights. There is so much this venue has to offer. The large windows and gorgeous hardwood floors are a selling point for any couple searching for a vintage and laidback, but unique vibe.  The signature brick walls are the perfect backdrop for photos. The venue is complete with two courtyards, a bright and open bridal suite and a masculine den stocked with vintage finds and a wood burning fireplace.

Los Angeles Wedding

The indoor ceremony was bright, beautiful, and fun. String lights framed the back wall of the ceremony room, and the crystal chandeliers lining the ceiling above the aisle were a focal point. The bridesmaids wore rich, red gowns, and the groomsmen all sported superhero socks for an added bit of fun. After the ceremony it did begin to rain however, we still managed to take some photos around the venue. We stopped by the den, which has a distinct, vintage feel to it. Drue and Huck sat on the red leather couches for some unique photos.

The wedding reception took place at the Carondelet House as well. The space transformed!  Chairs were put away and long tables stretching almost the entire room were brought in.   Some smaller circular tables at the back were also added for more seating. Their cake was deliciously simple, done in an all white two-tiered round style.  In the front of the building, space was formed for a dance floor.  Guests partied and danced all night with happy faces and killer moves. Drue and Huck shared their first dance while their friends and family gathered and watched.

There were so many good photo opportunities throughout the day, as the Carondelet House is such a unique place. We took several photos around the venue, both inside and out. The courtyards are a beautiful place to snap some pictures, and the brick exterior walls make a stunning background. Lush greens and dainty string lights give the courtyards a magical feeling, absolutely perfect to capture in a photo.

The whole day had an easy flow to it. Nothing felt forced or out of place, which is usually always a sign that a union is strong and will last a lifetime. Congratulations Drue and Huck!
